Getting Started

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have met the following requirements:

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/trial-start/Connect.git
cd Connect
  1. Create a virtual environment (optional but recommended):
python -m venv venv
source venv/Scripts/activate
  1. Install project dependencies:
 pip install -r requirements.txt
  1. Apply migrations and create a superuser:
python manage.py migrate
python manage.py createsuperuser
  1. Start the development server:
python manage.py runserver
  1. Now you can access the Connect platform at http://127.0.0.1:8000/ and start using it.

Usage

  1. Visit the Platform: Go to the Connect platform and either create a user account or log in if you already have one.

  2. Create Your Developer Profile:

    • Provide your personal details and skills to create a comprehensive developer profile.
    • This profile will help you showcase your expertise and connect with other developers and potential collaborators.
  3. Explore Developer Profiles:

    • Browse through profiles of other developers on the platform.
    • Send messages to developers you're interested in collaborating with or connecting with.
  4. Add Skills and Projects:

    • Enhance your developer profile by adding your skills and showcasing your projects.
    • Let others know about your strengths and the projects you've worked on.
