tipsy.revalidate seems unnecessary
updateRelativeDates timer gets started twice
eventbinding is to document when it could be to eg editor
~~shortcut is very inefficient and is firing pointlessly far more than it should~~
spinning wheel seems to slow page load (need to confirm this)
language sorting seems unnecessary and crunches page load
