Sam Holt, is a PhD candidate in AI / Machine learning at the University of Cambridge, UK, researching new
machine learning methods with a focus of applications on medicine. He holds a M.Eng. in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, where he graduated with a first-class degree and numerous awards for academic excellence (placing 2nd in the year for his master’s thesis).

He is developing and researching new machine learning methods for time series modelling in the presence of underlying dynamical systems. All his research gets published to the public, and code libraries open sourced.

Sponsorship is important as it allows him to buy more computational resources to run more and larger experiments, and keep contributing to high quality code libraries in the course of his work and PhD as a student.
