Nexify

Nexify is a next-generation platform designed to revolutionize professional networking, personal branding, and communication within companies. By combining the best features of platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter/Threads, Medium/Hashnode, Discord/Slack, and WhatsApp, Nexify aims to create a holistic environment that supports both individual professionals and organizations.

Features

Nexify offers a comprehensive set of features to address various aspects of professional life:

  • Professional Networking: Build and manage a professional resume, apply for jobs, and connect with peers.
  • Company Branding: Create and manage a company page that acts like a Facebook Page with added professional features.
  • Content Sharing: Share blog posts, reviews, research papers, and company updates.
  • Communication: Manage private communications, set up a company-wide communication server, and conduct video conferences.
  • Hiring Tools: Manage the hiring process with screening, video interviews, and online assessment tools.
  • Documentation Management: Use confluence-like features to manage internal documentation accessible only by the company and its employees.

Getting Started

Follow these instructions to set up your development environment and get started with Nexify.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following software/tools/language installed:

  • Node.js (v21.x or higher)
  • npm or yarn
  • Python/Go/Rust (for backend tasks, if applicable)
  • Docker (for containerization)
  • Git (for version control)

Installation

  1. Clone the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/neobit-hub/Nexify.git
    cd Nexify
  2. Install Dependencies:

    npm install

    or

    yarn install
  3. Environment Variables:

    • Create a .env file in the root directory and add necessary environment variables.
    • Sample .env:
      DATABASE_URL=your-database-url
      JWT_SECRET=your-jwt-secret
      
  4. Database Setup:

    • Run database migrations and seed the database with initial data.
    npm run migrate
    npm run seed
  5. Run the Application:

    npm start

    The application will be available at http://localhost:3000.

Usage

  • Starting the Development Server:
    npm run dev
  • Building for Production:
    npm run build
