Meters data features
In meters folder there are three subfolders:
As the name says, these are the raw data sets, the original data for each meter. All energy meters are in kWh and all volume meters in litres. There is a data set for each kind of meter: electricity, hotwater, chilledwater, steam, water, irrigation, solar and gas. Each data set contains the timestamp in the format YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss (local timezone) and one column per building with the meter reading. There is a reading per hour.
This folder contains all cleaned meters data sets. The following data was replaced with NaN:
- Outliers, detected with Seasonal Hybrid ESD (S-H-ESD)
- Zero readings longer than 24 continuous hours: is assumed here that continous zero-readings that long are consequence of a problem in the meter OR that the system is down because of the season.
- Zero readings in electricity: electricity meter reading shouldn't be absolute zero.
In this notebook can be found the process to create them.
For the Kaggle's ASHRAE great energy predictor III competition data for electricity, chilled water, hotwater and steam from selected buildings were used. This energy data was not completely converted to kWh; in the following table can be found the Kaggle competition units and the conversion factors -in brackets- to unify them.
The kaggle data set found in this repository is the data used as public leaderboard for the competition. This is 2017 meter reading data of buildings-meters selected for the competition.
