A simple android app that helps user to discover and read about Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD). Each day a different image of our universe along with a brief explanation.

The app uses NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) API to get pictures. You must provide your own API key in order to build the app.
Just put your API key into gradle.properties:
NASA_API_KEY="abc123"
You can build the app with Android Studio or with $ ./gradlew build command.
- ButterKnife: for android views binding.
- Glide: for image loading and caching.
- OkHttp: as http client.
- Retrofit: for communicating with web services.
- RxAndroid: for android specific reactive extensions.
- RxJava: for java reactive extensions.
- SQLBrite: for wrapping and introducing reactive stream semantics to sql queries.
- Timber: for logging.
