Mboalab is an open and collaborative space located in the village of Mefou-Assi, Yaounde, Cameroon. The aim of Mboalab is to catalyse sustainable development and improve people's living conditions through open science. We bring together researchers, scholars, educationists, policy makers and the general public to discuss, conceive and implement projects responding to the health, economic and social needs of the community, such as the coronavirus pandemic. Our approach focuses on the integration of local knowledge by centering the local community especially women.

- provide community and lifelong education for the population, as well as formal education for the younger generations.
- serve as a platform for exchanges on issues related to local context; mediate between local communities and academia.
- propose solutions that meet the needs of communities, using local knowledge and open digital technologies.
- raise public awareness of environmental issues.

The amount of information available in today's society can be exhausting, particularly when looking for the ideal job, internship, or scholarship. This excess of information can cause uncertainty, anxiety, and lost opportuinities. Furthermore, a lot of people find it difficult to communicate their qualifications and skills to employers in a way that they find compelling. The AI Pathfinder is a feature-rich platform made to make opportunity searching easier. It makes individualized recommendations based on each user's skills, preferences, and credentials by utilizing artificial intelligence
- Based on user profile analysis, the AI Pathfinder recommends appropriate scholarships, internships, and jobs.
- Using user criteria like location, experience level, and pay, the platform sorts job and internship ads.
- Make sure your resumes are ATS-compliant and appear professional so that applicant tracking systems can readily find them.
- Make connections with people who share your interests, exchange stories, and expand your professional network.
- Get timely alerts regarding deadlines for applications, significant occasions, and pertinent opportunities.
- Use our AI chatbot to get prompt responses to any inquiries you may have about careers.
- Get insightful information, pointers, and guidance on career-related topics.
We want an app that:
- Make it easier for individuals to find relevant jobs and
- Make it simpler for people to locate internships and employment that fit their needs.
- Assist users in properly showcasing their credentials and abilities.
- Make recommendations that are specific to each person's requirements and preferences.
- Encourage community and networking by putting users in touch with professionals in the field and others who share their interests.

In line with Outreachy’s guideline, the focus of our project is to prioritise the learning process and applicants' self-development over skill acquisition. Both applicants with or without previous experience in open-source contributions and complete beginners are welcome to participate and contribute.
Our main objective is to provide applicants with notions on open-source contributions and spirit, as well as with basics and advanced skills needed to complete the project;
