I am a full stack web developer with more than 10 years experience in commercial applications. During the late 2 years, I am mainly working as a front-end developer with Angular.

I know lots of developers have fantastic ideas and like to build some applications of their own. Normally, these applications were started without a clear plan and sufficient details. Also, in the early stages of lots of scrum projects (including these personal projects), front-end is always the focus. The clients have to see something to know what they exactly want. They have the priviliges to change their minds

Data relationships have to be changed again and again during the development. Every time the schemas change, developers have to modify database and server side, which includes data models, services and even controllers (APIs).

I know that is easy, but it takes time. Unfortunately, with family and kids, we don't have so much time. Sometimes, even in business environment, we don't have enough time as well.

However, it is the daily work to refactor your projects in Scrum.

Currently I'm building a project sads.js (Simple Application Data Service) which is designed to provide a quick server with RESTful endpoints small/medium size applications.

  • With sads.js, a fully functional server could be set up within 20 minutes!
  • With sads.js, you don't have to update schemas in most cases (because here are nearly no schema at all). What you have to do is just update front-end models.
  • sads.js is also a good choice for personal projects or small-scale commercial projects in PROD environments as it's based on AWS Lambda and DynamoDB which are very cheep (nearly no costs);
  • You could easily switch to build your real server-side code with clear requirements in the middle of the project. You won't feel too bad as you did not take lots of time on server side before (2-3 days I reckon).

When you become a Github Sponsor, you support my ongoing contributions to the open source project that I already create. With each tier I meet, I am able to sustain my independent career and place more efforts on this project to give it more powers, features and structual well-organized documents. As a sponsor, you'll receive consulting, early-access, quick-fixes and your special features.

Thank you for your support!
