Performance issue: freezes in mac m1 pro

Describe the bug

M1 Mac Pro, former Brackets user; finding massive performance issues with Phoenix not solved by updating versions. Hanging multiple minutes at a time between clicks leaves it completely unusable…common issue or any known fixes?
