Dirk Balfanz and Brian Eaton have circulated a new OAuth2 signature proposal. A thorough security review is needed for the OAuth2 user agent flow and the use of signatures to validate identity assertions.

My current plan is to use the JSON signing stuff in signed_request from http://developers.facebook.com/docs/authentication/canvas. It seems to be where there is the most consensus within the OAuth community.
