Per Supported Python versions:

https://packages.ubuntu.com/noble/python3 is 3.12
- https://packages.ubuntu.com/jammy/python3 (2022 LTS) is 3.10, but https://packages.ubuntu.com/jammy-updates/python3.11 is available too
PyPy 3.11 is not released yet (check here)

Prerequisites:

move own reader deployment to python3.11 or newer
release reader with PyPy 3.11 support

Things of interest in 3.11:

sqlite_errorcode – no more exception message matching in wrap_exceptions() and others
exception groups – shim not needed anymore
typing.NamedTuple supports generics – needed here
typing.Self
enum.StrEnum – at least for sort order literals
