Installation

  1. Install the icon theme from the Marketplace
  2. Open the command palette (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + P) and search for Preferences: File Icon Theme
  3. Select GitHub Icons

Credits

This icon theme is heavily inspired from GitHub's Color Theme and uses GitHub's Octicons.
