Mapbox discontinued their old api for tiles.
Settings are slightly different now: see https://docs.mapbox.com/help/troubleshooting/migrate-legacy-static-tiles-api/

Thanks for informing me!
Since tiles from mapbox are not freely available, I never implemented that on any of my systems. Would you mind
creating a pull request.

btw. in Austria, I really like https://basemap.at and it can be rendered using the leaflet library.
