Hej, I'm currently doing my master's thesis on early terrestrial evolution, and i am using the vplanet code, specifically the magmoc_earth example.
I've been chancing a few variables in the code to see how that migth affect the evolution of the planet, and one of those variables is the dSemi - I'm keeping everything else constant and in mostly in the default values.
I came across an issue with my data as the Sun's age in this example is sat to 500 kyr (very young), and since the Sun was more volatile at the age, I changed the value to be more appropriate to when the formation/accretion of Earth happened (at about 60Myr).
Now I have an issue when my planet is at dSemi 1 (au), and after running the program get a message of 'core dumped' as a result.
Have I made a mistake somewhere? Or is what I'm getting now a more realistic view/approach to when the accretion of earth happened?
Also, the solidification time is lessened by about 200kyr compared to the Hamano plot used in the example
Skærmbillede (317)

I would have to run your example on my own machine to find out why the core dumped. I wouldn't expect it to do that here. From the output you pasted here it appears the code reached a halt, which makes me think that the code completed the simulation, but somehow failed when it logged the final system parameters. Do the "forward" files look OK? How about the log file?

It seems that as soon as I change the age of the sun it gives me that failure message. I get minimal loss of Hydrogen and Oxygen in my atmosphere on Earth when that happens. The log files, when I encounter the 'core dumpled' have no 'FINAL SYSTEM PROPERTIES', and I seem to enter a runaway greenhouse period.

I'm also fiddling with the dSatXUVTime, as my main goal is to have a (near) constant output from the Sun. Is there a way I can circumvent this issue? and what is the unit of time for this parameter? I
I've read the Stellar module and it seems there is an option to have a constant stellar model, but it's not an option in the Sun.in file.
I've attached the log files, the only difference between these two log files in terms of input is the dSemi. The failed log has dSemi = 1, while the one that succeeded has dSemi = 0.4. I've also attached my -in and -forward files in a zip-folder
