Hey there! 👋🏻

I'm looking to package the IBM Cloud CLI in Fedora, CentOS, and RHEL, but I am struggling to find the right source code to use for that. Unfortunately, the packaging rules for these distributions require that source code is used in the packaging process.

Is there a guide somewhere for how to build the cloud CLI from source code?

Thanks!

We're looking for the source as well and are unable to figure out where it lives 🙂.

@major @ashcrow IBM Cloud CLI is not an open source software for now.

@boyang9527 does that mean the binary only is under the Apache License 2.0?

Bumping this to the top of people's inboxes. We should continue this discussion.

I'm interested, too. I would volunteer to package for Fedora/Enterprise Linux (EPEL) as well.
